GBC MISSION

i) The College program aims to develop in students four things and to deliver to society young people who have:-

Discernment: The ability to discern what is good, having developed the knowledge and skills to commit themselves to action for a better society.

Character: The ability to demonstrate initiative, self discipline, integrity and compassion in their life style. The ability to be proud of oneself and withstand peer, fashion or other pressures.

Success: That students are prepared to work hard, and to strive for success in personal life, in further education and in employment.

Faith: That students have had the opportunity to discover the truth of the Gospel of Jesus as well as the nature of God. That students may choose to have a relationship with Him, living in the service of God.

ii) GBC is committed to provide four things to students. These are:

Acceptance

Learning

Safety

These four points are the basis of discipline at GBC and are further detailed in the discipline section. Geelong Baptist staff will take action if any of these are not maintained and their responses will aim to restore any situations that fall short of community standards.
